Judging Process & Timings

The Judging Process for The Best in Digital Awards 2021

As part of our commitment to creating a fair playing field, all award entries will be judged objectively regardless of the size of budget or scale of the project. To ensure there is no conflict of interest in submissions, we will only be using senior judges who work with consumer-facing brands (not agencyside personnel).

The Criteria:

Entries must demonstrate clear strategic thinking with a creative approach. Entries should not exceed 1000 words (Total) and should be based on work delivered between November 2019 to December 2020. All award entries must outline:

  • The campaign brief, objectives and budget
  • Approach and implementation
  • Campaign results

The Shortlist

Our panel of judges will review all submissions for their specific category and make a maximum shortlist of 8 to then enter the knockout phase.

The Knockout Format & Winners

The 8 shortlisted entries for each category will then progress to the quarter final knockout phase, in which a live draw will take place to announce the category match-ups.

Judges will then review and determine the winner of the quarter-final match-ups, with the winning entry then progressing to the semi-final stages. The same process will continue for the semi-finals until we have the two finalists (two best entries in each category).

The champion and Best in Category will eventually be crowned once judges have made their final decisions in the final head-to-heads.

Deadline & Timings

The deadline for all award submissions will be Friday 29th January 2021 and the quarter-final knock-out phase shortlist and match-ups will be announced Monday 8th February 2021.

All remaining knock-out results and match-ups will be announced on a weekly basis with Best in Digital Winners crowned in February 2021.
